The Date Column

Introducing the date column, which is intended to be used to add a due date or a start date and time to your tasks or objects.

Adding the column?

To include it, select the “date” option by clicking on the Add button located in the upper right corner of your board.

How does it work?

After adding a column, clicking inside it will bring up a calendar display with today’s date as the default. By using the calendar picker to select a specific date, you can manually assign a date to each item on your board.

You can easily modify the year or include a specific time to your selected date by clicking on the arrow pointing downwards beside the year at the top of the date picker.

Customization

You can customize the display format of dates in the column by utilizing the date column options. With these options, you can:

  • Current year
  • Day of the week 
  • Week number
  • Option to “Add Time”

Set date and time preferences

We understand your need to modify your preferred date and time, and we have included these options in your profile page preferences. You can change your date format from MM/DD/YY to DD/MM/YY and your time format from 12 hours to 24 hours.:

Deadline mode

To help you and your team stay on schedule, you can activate the “deadline mode” in your Date Column, which will give you a visual indication of whether an item is completed on time, overdue, or has a few days left to complete.

To enable this feature, click on “Set as deadline,” located in the top right corner of your column title. Afterward, choose a Status Column from your board (and optionally, a Persons Column) to synchronize with your Date Column on the configuration page, and you’re good to go!

Automatic date reminders

To help you stay on top of your tasks, you can add automatic date reminders to your date column. Simply access the column settings and select “Set Due Date Reminders” to enable this feature.

Then, with our incredible AtmosAI Automations, you can program an automated reminder!

On our automation page, you can learn how you can determine the timing of your message delivery based on either the specific hour of your chosen date column or a set number of days before it. Additionally, you can select the recipient(s) of the reminder and customize the message’s content.

Sync with your calendar
